AOA- Halfdan

This was based off Beowolf

Delight, praise of the prowess of people-kings
of sword-armed Halfdan, skilled in combat,
we have heard, and what honor this Saxon brings!
Oft foes fought with feuded feats,
from a large tribe, Stonemarche, the bear-pits tremble,
the echos called. Since ego laid down
friend, a feat, fables reclaim him:
for he waxed under weights, in western battles fought,
Pennsic, shoulder to shoulder, far and near,
who wisdom was vast as whale-way, heard his mandate,
gave him recognition: a wealth of reason!
To him minds-worth laid before,
a son in battle, an elder to books
to favor Grímnir’s lip-streams, meeting their flights head on
the Wielder of Wonder, with world’s renown.
Mighty Queen Margarita, glory-filled, awards you arms
this day, A market day at Birka, AS 54 in the Barony of Stonemarche

Scroll for Alianor Salton

A woman whyt words can find her whey.
Quiet, though well versed, she has her head covered when there is work to be done.
Norse, South, East, West the books take her.
Through research, new mysteries are unveiled.
Her attention to detail brings truths to the light.
Her family, all, gathered in notes, papers, quill and ink.
All this is brought to a head till the very end and capped off with certainty to accuracy.
With fine attention to detail, I, Margarita, Sovereign to the East kingdom, do find it only true and proper, to induct Lady Alianor Salton into the Order of the Silver Brooch, this Yule, January 4, Anno Sociotatis LIV, in Ostgardr and have her join her rightful place.

Silver Wheel for Ntisa Farstrinder

To raise an army, we do not simply start as skilled fighters as adults. The community of our army starts from when we may raise sword and shield. We go to war and nurture at every stage. Our youth do not learn skills on their own. With the guided aid of Ntisa Farstrider, our future begins their journey. Without a place to sleep or food to put in our bellies, we do not survive the war. Ntisa builds our travel home at times of war when it is most important. We survive and grow because of you. With that in mind, we Konig Wilhelm and Konigen Vienna, do invite you to join our order of the Silver Wheel at Shire Wars VIII, October 20, AS 53.

Silver Brooch for Svana Vefa

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yet you, our loyal subject, capture it in frame. Times which would only be left in memory to those who lived it, now tangible to all. Fleeting art now immortalized. You weave our history and create memorial, such that Arachne and Athena would marvel. You dress the part and bring joy to your art. Diverse artisan, humble and joyful. Your talent helps our kingdom grow. With that in mind, we, Konig Wilhelm and Konigen Vienna, only find it fitting, to bestow upon Svana Vefa,  a symbol of our appreciation. We, this day, October 20, AS 53, at Shire Wars VIII, do make you a member of our order of the Silver Brooch.

Words for Simona Bat Leon, Silver Crescent

Words by Lady Solveig Bjarnardottir (Based on Psalm 31)

A woman of noble character has been found!
She is worth far more than rubies, she is the diamond of our kingdom.
She lacks nothing of value.
She brings good all the days of her life.
She works with eager hands and brings service to all.
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her company and good deeds.
She gets up while it is still night;
she provides for the kingdom
She considers a task and performs it;
She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that the Barony lamps do not go out at night.
She opens her arms to the poor of spirit
and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in black and hold.
She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She does not eat the bread of idleness.
Many women do noble things,
but she surpasses them all
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but this woman is to be praised.
Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the East Kingdom Gates

And so, by our hands, do we, Emperor Brennan and Empress Caoilfhionn , see fit to induct, Simona Bat Leon , into the order of the silver crescent. In Addition we grant her arms Per pale azure and argent vetu, a mullet of six points between three bees, all counterchanged, at Falling Leaves, in the Barony of Carolingia, As 53.

When the mead of poetry falls upon dumb lips, the tongue lay now silvered. Sweet rhapsody resonates, flowering from what was once small buds, fragment gardens. Firey passion and never hesitation from the spirit. As a nightingale sings so does our beautiful azure songbird. They grace us with music, poetry, performance from dawn till dusk and never do they falter. Today, we the people and landed Baron and Baroness, Rowen and Suba, do see it fit to bestow this honor upon the muse amongst us by inducting them into the order of the (insert) at Pennsic

Silver Wheel for Juliote de Castlenou D’arry

She bestows her gifts with a generous hand;
Pausing not for toil and pain for those she keeps silent
Chronicler, wrangler
Weary not through the heat of summer as she serves all ,
Weary not through the cold spring rain as she sings;
But wait till the autumn comes
For the sheaves of golden grain sifted tirelessly for she lives as a warden.
Scatters the seed, and asks not for recognition
So we are moved to do this, We, the East, choose to recognize her this day. We Ivan and Mathilde, Tzar and Tazrina do induct Juliote de Castlenou D’arry into the Order of the Silver wheel on October 28, Anno Sociotatis 52 at The Harvest Festival

Words for Antonio Giancarlo Nicastri

This was a scroll assignment for the Order of the Silver Tyger

With fearsome might, he enters the list
Keen strength and skills surpass those of peers and Tygers all
What blows are swung with sword, skidded by shield and skewered by spear
May you fear them equally
In front of him, pray you not be
Side by side, a brother at arms to stay
Pennsic Brave, one of five left and still not an ounce of cowardice in his eyes
Honor and Valor drape humbly upon his shoulders
We, the East, are proud to have him armed and ready
In turn, we, Emperor Brennan and Empress Caoilfhionn, proudly induct Antonio Giancarlo Nicastri into the order of the Silver Tyger on this day, April 21, Anno Sociotatis 52 at Balfar’s Challenge

Gerhard’s Scroll

This was a scroll commissioned of me for Gerhard’s von Hoehensee, Order of the Furisant

Amongst the chilled coals, arises an ember
stoking the surrounding kindling
The fire dances and begins to parry the cold
The fire does not dance alone
The fire teaches the flames to dance, to waltz
Sharpening their wit as is the blade of the rapier
Betwixed fine reignments, inspiring those who come after
The fire passes hand in hand and the fire grows stronger
Finely dressed within the ash and glows
What started the fire? We did not start the fire.
Gerhardt, the fursiant, bestowed his craft, his skill to enlighten us all
By his skill from the hands, his perseverance
Deemed it so by Baron Dorio of the Oaks
Deemed it so by Baronessa Jocelyn Del Espada

Scroll for Amalia

This was a scroll commissioned of me for Amalia’s von Hoehensee’s Lamp of Apollo

Oh yonder doth sit that little turtle dove, nay nightingale
Whos sweet rhapsody flows through not just music
But weaves and pierces the finest cloth
Each stitch is a note upon the melody of the cloth
Each stanza, a roving of the weave
Dulcet sounds and harmonies nestle into the thread
which is warmed by the heart and hands that are Amalia’s
Like a phoenix in her craft, sets the spirit a glow, a blaze
Pushing forth and reliving, creating each experience
She tests the purity of the cloth with fire
She lights the lamp of apollo which is now granted
By her skill from the hands, her voice
Deemed it so by Baron Dorio of the Oaks
Deemed it so by Baronessa Jocelyn Del Espada
